Springtime - a finished top

I have been busy sewing since I am back from holidays and finished the top of my Springtime quilt.

Since the last update I added sashing, a border to the top and bottom to make it rectangular and then for good measure a round of bricks with pinwheels in the corners again. The whole is then finished off with more white sashing.

I am planning to have a pieced back made up from leftovers and the solids I used for the nine-patch part. The Delilah Collection is really fantastic and although this isn't my normal bold colourway I am utterly smitten with it. One of the things I love most about it is that is has a range pattern sizes meaning it has very small flowers and very large ones and in addition great blenders. I made good use of this in the various parts of the top but I will talk about the making of this quilt when I have it finished it which should hopefully be by the end of the weekend.

Happy sewing
Judith
